Official History of Australia in the War of 1914-1918 (Australian Official History)
The Official History of Australia in the War of 1914-1918 was edited by Charles E W Bean (1879-1968). Charles Bean was a schoolteacher, journalist, barrister, war correspondent and a historian. He was chosen as the official historian to write up the official account of Australian Forces in the First World War. He was the editor of the 12 volume collection and wrote six of the 12 volumes.
